is the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 650 1GB GDDR5 Good for gaming?

it's a low end gaming card, but it's up to date and it comes at a cheap price.
you are buying the non "TI" and 1GB version of a 650. you must be on a tight budget.

I want to be able to play games like Battlefield3 and planetsides 2

on medium graphics it should be playable.
i found this benchmark for ya.

check out the second benchmark, it has both the TI and Non Ti version in it.
you will see that the TI version is noticeable faster than the non Ti.
