ok you have done well so far next task,

list the established connections again and this time go the command prompt and type another command,

cd desk*

then type the following

tasklist /svc>List.txt

exit the command prompt and then upload the list to me with the PID that you found and I will tell you want is possible wrong and why you have such a high ping rate. this should and will bring it down however must be checked.

I would not rush at another browser as the problem would more that likley still be there all depends what is causing the problem.
