Asus motherboards qualified vendors list

Hi all.
I am sending back my Asus P8Z77-V mother board as it is faulty. The ram I am was going to use was GeIL EVO CORSA Dual Channel DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz. GOC316GB1600C9DC.

I have looked through all of the qualified vendors lists for all of the Asus motherboards and this model of ram (GOC316GB1600C9DC) is not on any of them.

Does this mean it cannot be used?

Not necessarily, it means that it is not tested with the board.
