Hello everyone! I just wanted to announce that we are testing a new feature that allows you to upload videos to your posts. When you click the "Manage Attachments" button, you should see an option to upload a video. Here is a screenshot:

It is also located right under the message area when you are making a new post/thread. If you add a video there, it will start uploading immediately.

I recommend starting with some small videos if possible. The current limit is 500MB for videos.

This is a new feature, and I expect there to be some bugs, so please do not hesitate posting problems that you may be having.

So to launch the first public video here, here you go:

To act as a deterent to porn videos and spammer junk I'd suggest the uploaded videos be held in a moderator que for review by moderators.

Also have you considered how much server space and bandwidth self hosted movies will eat up? If you post 10> 500MB movies then have 1000 lurkers looking at those movies, the bandwidth usage would slow our lean, mean, forum machine down to a crawl.
Even if you have your own server box with some respectable sized drives in it, you can only shove so much data out of it at any given point in time.
If you want to give us something we can use try Bananalive's > Forms Maker.
Configure it to apply to the articles section. Set a standard format for the articles using the forms maker. Maybe that would encourage some of the more prolific writers to post something useful.
I use it in my wiki section at my forum. If a bonehead like me can figure out how to make it work, surely the admins here can.
