First Build

Hello,

Contemplating doing a build for the first time: seems more exciting and potentially better-performing than a prebuilt pc.

Here's what I'm thinking:
CPU: i7-3770k (own fan?)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V Pro
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Optical Drive: LG CD/DVD Burner Black SATA Model GH24NS72-OEM
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX560 Ti 1GB OC HDCP
wifi: GIGABYTE Exclusive Bluetooth 4.0/Wi-Fi Expansion Card
PSU: Cooler Master RS-400-PSAR-J3 Elite Power 400W
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 mid tower case

Final price: ~$805

Overall, do you think this is a decent build for the price?

Main tasks: regular mix (heavy browsing, office), some video editing, programming, running at least 1 virtual machine, possibly simulation software (e.g. science modeling). Not much gaming, mostly work.
Comments:
Higher-end processor seems more future-proof.
The phantom 410 case seems a bit pricey, but looks great. Any other good (hopefully decent-looking and w/front usb 3.0) cases for ~$50-70?
Would adding a small SSD for the OS be a significant improvement? Or perhaps going for a hybrid drive w/ ssd cache is a better idea?

Thanks for looking
