I don't see anything yet that points to a hard drive failure - it may be, but I don't see any definitive evidence from what you've posted yet (I could have missed something).

What it sounds like to me is that there is either an issue with the windows/boot record installation or the harddrive is simply blank.

I would attempt to reinstall windows and see if it installs ok as opposed to trying to recover something that may not actually be there.

Ensure that the disk format is correct also (MBFT as opposed to the Apple equivelent/standard - sometimes this can be an issue and the harddrive can not be 'seen' by the system correctly if someone has tried turning this into a hackintosh).
