Hi,

Wanting to put Dam Small Linux on a flash drive so I can boot of it.

Can someone provide me (or link to) a free tool that does that?

The DSL is in a .ISO file.

@Wildcat

I used that, but it wont transfer the kernel onto the drive. When it boots it drops me to a very limited shell, even the command "ls -l" wont work.

for no more then 4 days ago i tried out DSL myself in the same way that you want to do it. (via Bootable USB)
I used the UNetbootin Wildcat are referring to and i downloaded the ZIP download of DSL (Not the .ISO)
it worked like a charm. if you are having trouble with the .ISO file, then try UNetbootin with the ZIP file instead of the .ISO

GreatorEvil has the easiest answer.

You use that program to install Linux on a USB and make it bootable. You can then boot into the Linux installation and configure changes.
