Windows XP needs to be reactivated; however, I cannot.

You shouldn't even have to call. The over the internet activation should work just fine using the automated Microsoft system.

Windows generates an install ID and contained therein is a system profile. This information is stored and (Automated) Microsoft should see the same computer ID and provide an activation ID for that copy.

I still wouldn't be able to activate. Since the time is up and I wouldn't be able to login to Windows, I'm kinda stuck using my underpowered Toshiba laptop.

Either way, this computer now fails to POST due to bad capacitors. I can get it to POST but it's a struggle and doesn't always work. And this computer is only just a few years old too.
