you should check out fenze. it will sort those icons in a nice looking way.
install an alienware theme, or download style XP for allot of XP skins.

My updated XP pro desktop.

You should get Fences. It lets you put your icons in groups.
Stardock also do other desktop optimization software, you should check it out.

As for my desktop, this is what it looks like: Desktop
It looks a bit messed up as I'm using two monitors.

I dont want some software telling me how to or do arrange my icons.

I always say: "Your computer is how you make it"

Thanks anyway, I would like to leave some disk space for torrent downloading.

BTW this is my My Documents folder and my updated desktop, I like to change some of my icons on a day to day basis.

I know its weird so sue me LOL.

I hope all of you people use some sort of icon recovery software like desksave I do, I will cry my little heart out if I lost my icons and arrangements!
