Minecraft Performance...

I am pretty sure this would be the best place to post this thread.

I have a Toshiba Satellite M50-MX5 with 1GB of RAM and a Pentium M running at 1.86GHz. Running Minecraft on the laptop is almost a sluggish experience, however it's not that bad, I'd say I average about 12-15 FPS, however, it fluctuates. I realize that Minecraft requires at minimum 2GB of RAM (for some reason) and this laptop can only install up to 2GB. What could the performance differences be on 1GB of RAM vs. 2GB of RAM?

I have tried this not on that laptop and u do get a difference not much but a bit worth it though because now it's playable with 2 gig maybe I will try 4 see how that improves it

It probably will run good on 4GB of RAM because it runs flawlessly on my main computer (Specs stated below) but then again, the CPU in my main computer is much faster.
