computer wont work. please help

So I just put together my computer and it wont show display. All power and everything comes on then the monitor goes into sleep mode. And if I unplug the monitor from my desktop it says no signal. Is my motherbored? Please comment. Its a gigabyte lga Intel 1155. And I am plugging right into the motherborad.

Are you getting any display on the monitor while booting up?
Have you tried booting in safe mode?
Go into Bios and check to see if your video set up correctly for on board use.
Have tried a add on video card?

One last suggestion is check your motherboard book to see if there is any pin configuration set up for on board video.

I cant do anything. Display doesn't even show up. Monitor is a lg and starts by saying lg and the says going into to sleep mode.

check cable to monitor
Check input choice on monitor, If you previously used it in another configuration

Try another monitor to see if its just the monitor you are currently using..

Done all that. I even tried plugging it into my Tv with hdmi.

Does your computer do any post beeps? are you sure it is working?

I don't hear any beeps. Do I need speakers hooked up to do that?

Does the monitor and video card you are trying have DVI, if so try that..

What are the full specs of your system?

Some motherboards with integrated graphics will become disabled when using a PCIe graphics card.
