Hello everyone, I was wondering if you guys could give me a hand picking the parts for my computer, I need something cheap, something I can make for under $600 (because I can buy a new computer for that much) doesn't have to be great, just has to beat this:

Processor: AMD Turion Dual-Core RM-75 2.20 GHz

Installed Memory(RAM): 3.00 GB (2.75 GB usable)

System Type: 32-bit Operating System

because that is the one I have now.

Any ideas?

But the final price of that is nearly as much as a new computer.
Not really, can be a lot cheaper since you retain existing parts such as PSU, case, monitor, Hard drives, DVD drives keyboard & etc etc.

A kit is mainly CPU, Motherboard, Ram & possibly a new video card.

It looks like OP is using a laptop so that wouldn't be an option.

Any of these will be a considerable upgrade over what you have. I know you said it doesn't have to be great. What are you looking to do on the computer?
