I just re installed windows 7 on my computer and for some reason I had problems with my graphics card. While it was connected to the motherboard my monitor was not working. I finally unplugged it and now my screen works.

Every time I put it back in the monitor goes out. My monitor is plugged into my motherboard so I am not sure what the problem is. Also I have 2 monitors but I can only get one of them to work on one motherboard.

Hi,

Two approaches to this:

1) Can you boot your PC with your graphics card in but your monitor connected to the motherboard, then go into your BIOS settings and check with your default graphics adapter is.

2) Can you boot your PC with your graphics card in but your monitor connected to the motherboard and check in device manager on your computer to see if your graphics card is recognised and try and download and install the latest drivers for it.

The problem is that if my graphics card is in the pci-e slot at all my monitor wont display anything. I cannot do any changes with it plugged in.
