First of all im sorry for always asking stupid questions. But i was wondering why a graphics card comes with a storage thing, eg a graphics card maybe 2gb. So my question would be what the above means (why it says 2gb) sorry if this question is not clear, by the way i do know what gb stands for

It's been my experience, that the only stupid question, is the one that is not asked.

The GB stands for gigabyte. On a graphics card, it does not refer to storage, but rather video memory, similar to your computer's system memory.

The amount of memory required depends on the resolution you intend to use, and the number of monitors you intend to run.

So does it act like graphics ram?

Or like if you play a movie or game that is under 2gb then uses the graphics card the whole time
