Keyboard has gone crazy

My daughter has a Toshiba Satellite C655 laptop with Win 7. When you type on the keyboard the wrong letters or characters are typed. The backspace key causes it to go to the previous internet page.

Anyone know what is going on? Is there a keyboard mapper that can be set to default or something?

Yes backspace will take you back to the last page, that is not an error.

Try this: Goto you language bar settings and have a tinker in there, make sure that the keyboard settings are in English (US).

Let me know how it goes.

P.S Run a FULL virus scan and FULL malware scan.

Thanks all. Will try the above ideas. If my daughter spilled something I dont think she would admit it now.

True, a spill can cause the keyboard to go "crazy".

I droped a can of Sprite and my keyboard (without me pressing any keys) and when ever I was in some sort of text input box all the letters just keeped comming up again and again.

You should have seen the dumb thing, you whould have cracked-up! LMFAO!

I had to replace my keyboard on my compaq laptop.

Soda spill. Even after a wash. The keys never would type normal.
Good thing though, new keyboard was only 14 bucks on ebay.
