Well, I went and jacked up the motherboard on my old Gateway 550GR and I'm hoping you all can help me decide what to do. I use it for a bit of gaming (World of Tanks, although I havent played that on it yet) and downloading. Here are the specs (brackets indicate stuff I have added).
Processor Brand Intel
Processor Class: Pentium® 4 Processor with Hyper-Threading Technology
Processor Speed: 3.2 GHz
Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Cache Memory: 1 MB on die Level 2
System Chipset: Intel 915G Express Chipset
Memory Speed PC3200 - 400 MHz
Memory Technology: DDR-SDRAM - DDRRAM
Installed Memory (4 GB)
Maximum Memory 2 GB (which was odd as it detected all of the Memory I had installed)
Hard Drive Capacity: 200 GB (added 1.5TB as well as the 200)
Drive Controllers: Serial ATA (SATA)
Video Card: (G Force 7800GT)
Total Expansion Slots:1 PCI-E x16, 1 PCI-E x1, 2 PCI
Available Expansion Slots:1 PCI-E (used for Video Card)) x1, 1 PCI
Included Drives: Double-layer DVDRW/CD-RW drive,200 GB SATA Hard Drive
Expansion Bays: 4 3.5-inch (2 open), 2 5.25-inch
Network Support: Integrated 10/100 Mbps Ethernet
Power: (600W Corsair)
Chassis Style:Mini-tower
Case Dimensions (H × W × D):14.3 × 7.3 × 16.0 inches

Should I

1. junk it and put the 1.5TB HD in my other (family) Computer (Dell Inspiron 570). (I'd have to buy another PC then)
2. replace the motherbaord with a used unit (60 bucks)
3. or upgrade the CPU and motherboard. If I do that:
- what should I upgrade to?

Thanks!!
