Me no. Not the right sound, people mix it up with another name, etc.

Often people will shorten a name to make it easier to say such as Rob for Robert or change it to make it friendlier, such as Robbie for Robert.

Do you have anything to add to this discussion?

Mines fine. A bit unique. But some people who can't pronounce anything call me Alex. And I'm not Alex. It does not sound as same as Alec.

I'm called Ethan and I'm absolutely fine with it, although it has occasionally been shortened to Eth or even sometimes just E

My Full name is Tony Nørlem Atzen

i am not too happy with my middle name becouse it sounds weird.
it's pronounced "nohrlem" with english letters.

Mine's a bit annoying - "Brahey Elmodovo Redolf Rupert Yoesburg". Bit of a mouthful, and *really* hard work trying to fit that into any official form - for colloquial use, I just stick with the acronym, that seems to work well.
