Hello,
I'm looking to take a leap and build my own computer for the first time using top components. Any advice, tips, criticisms would be appreciated.
I need to know if the list below will work together. Am I missing anything? Have I chosen something that is really not needed?
I am a photographer and deal with mass amounts of phots, videos, music etc. I also want to play games occasionally, or watch a DVD.
I haven't decided on what kind of monitor yet or a mouse or keyboard. I am pretty close to budget. I'll spend around 2400 or so. I am starting from scratch, bringing no parts from other places. All new.

How does this combination stack up? Thank you in advance for any help to the above questions and your time.

A few things in my opinion, case, don't really need a full tower, it's just big and takes up space. Go with antec 300 illusion, highly rated and favored. I'd also go wig a 550ti sli configuration or 670 ftw as you deal with intense graphics. I would also go with the p77 pro instead of deluxe because the deluxe has some issues. Also, going for 16gb ram is futureproofing, but going 32 is extreme overkill. Running every cs5 and adobe will go to about 7 gigs. This is my opinion. I would get a 16gb corsair vengeance as it is a company that stuck around for a VERY Lon time.

Also, a h60 or h40 works just as well as the thermo 2.0.

Also, your mobo can't support 2400 unless it's OC.

1200 watts is overkill. Just get a kingwin laser 1000w is good enough.

Soursoup ~ thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts. They are appreciated.

Anytime, I used to consider the deluxe for my bro, but after a few hours of dual team research, we finally settled on 2 mobo. I wanted the sabertooth z77, and he wanted the z77-v pro. He finally won because it had built in wifi, as the cable has and will have been bitten by my dogs. I will continue to help you more. ;D
