PSU or Motherboard problem?

Hello,
All of a sudden for the past week my computer has been turning off randomly, it use to boot up again and it wouldnt be a problem however now it wont start half the time and it will turn back on like its going to restart and boot but turn right back off after a second or two or it will start to boot for a minute and then turn off again.

How ever sometime it will boot fine and then not restart for hours, usually when i am watching a movie or something i have found this only happened, which i find strange..
I turned of automatic restart on system error and it still proceeds to do the same thing as well i have made sure all cords are connected and not loose as well as taking my graphics car out to see if that would help.

Still no luck though so any in site on to what this issue may be would be great thank you.

I had this problem an it ended up being my psu that was faulty , however just changing the psu did not fix it as it damaged my motherboard. (NEVER BUY A CHEAP PSU...lol)

Do you have a computer store that could test the psu for you.

Or could be something over-heating and its powering off to prevent damage.

It sounds like overheating to me. Thoroughly clean all the dust out of the computer.
