video card/monitor

I am getting a gtx 560 ti 2gb video card and was wondering what ways this video card allows me to hook up a monitor. Do I have to get a monitor with a vga or dvi or hdmi?

VGA Would be a waste with that card.its ok for a second monitor tho. So def get a Dvi or hdmi. The difference between them is hdmi also can play/transfer sound as well as HD.

I thought the 560 ti 2gb card doesn't have a vga slot in its interface. Qnd to do hdmi doni have to get a mini hdmi to regular hdmi cord?

the card does not come with VGA.
Vga is an old analog technology. the image will not be as sharp as with a digital connection. (HDMI/DVI)
there are also some graphic settings you can't use in the Nvidia control panel.

you will need a mini HDMI to full HDMI converter or a cable with mini in one end and full on the other end.
there might already be a Converter in the packet you get with the card.

I have a 560ti, they allow 2 dvi but comes with 1 dvi to VGA adapter. There is also 1 hdmi port. However, keep in mind hat 560ti takes 2 expansion bays

what do you use expansion bays for other than video cards?

Like wifi cards or sound cards, but those are usually not pci express x16 and usually only take 1 expansion slot/bay.
