Why Did Windows Boot Up A EMS Setup?

Hi all.

I am just wanting to know why my laptop when I booted it came up with option of booting a "EMS Setup", I then did that and it came up with a window asking me to erase partions and it came up with command-line windows. So I did nothing and quickly rebooted the computer and it just booted windows 7 up normally.

Can anyone help with my answer my question!?

What make and model. I have heard of UEFI but not EMS.

EMS = Emergency Management Services Technical Reference

It is a quirk that comes up for some reason during the boot process when a key combination is pressed. If you go into MSConfig you can remove the entry with no harm.

Ok. When it was booting up I didnt press any buttons I just leave it to do its thing.

At that point I would just say that there was a glitch when it shut down and that caused it to bring up the EMS.
