Good Video Converter For Ipad??

I have dvd's I would like to convert and put on my iPad. I have read the best resolution to take up the entire screen on the iPad is 1024 x 480. Does anyone know of a free converter that would do this. I would like to convert directly from the dvd disc.

Check out GPlayer. It's an app for the iPad and by following the instructions they give, it allows you to play any format movie on your iPad. It's a huge time-saver and it works well for me.

I don't remember the exact process without looking at iTunes, but in general... You'll go to the Apps menu, and at the bottom it lists all Apps that are able to "file share". GPlayer will be listed here, so you simply add a file (in this case a movie) in any format and it will be synced to your iPad. It even supports wireless sync.
