OMG! I promise this is the last one! circumstances have yet again changed!

These choices are based on the fact that I've heard good things about i5 and not-so-good things about AMD FX

My choices now are

AMD FX 4170 with Radeon HD 7950

OR

Intel i5 3570k with Radeon HD 7850

So in the first one I'm skimping on CPU for better GPU, but it looks like the difference between FX 4170 and i5 3570k is so massive that It'd be worth skimping that little bit on the card to get it! But I don't know if this is the case.

I'm asking here cause DinoPC have had me on hold for the past 18 minutes (and lol

Your thoughts? Thank you :D

i would go with the i5
and here is why
it is an Ivy Bridge unlocked CPU
you can OC the snot out of that sucker and get it up to 4.2 or higher possibly
providing that you have enough cooling for it

overclocking would not be a good reason as the fx overclocks really well to.
gamers are reporting (through bench tests) that the I5 is the better cpu for gaming.
the AMD fx should work better with that AMD card tho as they would have been designed together, same architecture etc...

I'd go for the second option, as they're both in my system at the moment and run perfectly. 3570k OCed at 4.5GHz and the 7850 is OCed as well.

Plus it would also be easier to upgrade the graphics card, imo, as opposed to the CPU.
