The bang for your buck ratio is way off leaning toward the amount you spend is the quality you'll get.
I feel you're getting taken in by the "Ooo Ahh" factor. Which is exactly what computer salespeople want you to do. If you fall in that trap you'll wind up buying sh*t for top dollar.
Shop around. Then shop around some more. Then go bargain hunting.
Keep in mind this laptop is not going to be just for gaming. You're going to wind up doing papers and all sorts of research.
Size and type of screen(led versus LCD), type of screen back-lighting(led versus fluorescent tube), keyboard layout, battery life, hard drive type and size, media ports(HDMI, media card types(camera cards), USB ports, amount of ram and how far it can be expanded, and last but not least, HOW GOOD IS THE WARRANTY.
