do i have a internal modem

i am making a change in my isp supplier and i need to know if i have an internal modem in my dell inspiron 530
any and all help appreciated

Dialup maybe but nothing you can use to connect to a cable or dsl provider. They will provide you a modem that you connect to using a network cable or usb.

It's doubtful your computer has an internal modem. If your new ISP is going to provide you with a dialup connection then you will need to purchase an external modem. If the ISP is going to provide you with a cable or DSL connection, then they will generally provide you with a modem (you lease or rent it from them on a monthly basis). Your computer will need a nic (network interface card) in order to be connected to the provided modem.

Dell inspiron 530 never had an internal modem, if it did it would have been a Dial up card type which is about obsolete in this day & age.
