okay so here is my thought/idea
everyone browses the web, and at some point in time ends up in a shadey spot of the internet
so my brain kicked in
i have a linux box not doing anything right now
so
what if i had my linux box host a VM of maybe windows 7 or vista
and i could give it a static IP address
then remote desktop into it and surf as i want to
when the OS gets 'dirty'
i can just delete and install a new VM with the new IP address
so my question is this
this would keep all viruses from infecting any PC that is running the VM right?
since a VM is an OS inside a folder
the virus can only infect that OS inside the folder
and not migrate to the Host OS
correct?
