What is with all the keyboards and mice?

What with all the hardware? New install of Windows 7, used a generic keyboard and mouse (Dynex or something like that) to get things up and running. I install a new Logitech kb and mouse (wireless both) and I notice two HID compliant mice and 3 maybe 4 different keyboards in the admin/Device Manager. I say 3 maybe 4 because one is called Microsoft eHome Remote Control Keyboard keys. I think this may be the associated key sync between the Logitech and the Windows commands some keys perform. In any event, I never installed a Microsoft mouse nor a key board. I want to delete because they may be conflicting and causing some hard hangs. I have uninstalled them in Device Manager but they return. How do I get rid of them permanently? Any ideas? Besides, there never was a Microsoft product ever hooked up.
