msvbvm60.dll; bitdefender installation

whenever the installation wizard starts, an error pops up stating that

F:\MSVBVM60.DLL is either not designed to run in Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

1. i fixed the dll file through dll fixer.com
2. still not working
3. im running a bitdefender antivirus plus 2012
4. this is my 2nd pc out of 3.

please help

Looks like an old DLL file; I ran into issues with that many years back, but it was mostly "It can not be found" errors, or a version issue. Installation wizard for what, BTW? Or do you mean the main Windows Installer? If it's the latter, I haven't a clue, but if it's a specific program, then I would Google the program name, your OS, and the file name, such as: "Windows 7 ProgramNameHere MSVBVM60.DLL" - Something is bound to come up that's pertinent to that program and your OS/file.

Sorry if you've done this already, but download and install this:

VBRun60.exe installs Visual Basic 6.0 run-time files

Should update your files, and may solve your problems.
