Comcast or Verizon?

I lean towards Verizon due to the new wiring they installed and FIOS. I will pick up my own modem, but would like to know whether either service requires using their cable converter for internet service? I would also welcome any other input you may have.

I go with Verizon ... so it's simple choice for me: Verizon
