Years ago I wrote a program using BASIC. Now I want to update it. Which program would be the logical successor to BASIC which would be easy for me to learn?

Ah, the good old days.

Q-BASIC, I recall on Windows 98; IDK how well that would work, as it still relies on MS-DOS, but it's worth looking it up, as they may have since updated it.

It's a start. The program I wrote was about 100 lines and so good that I had a hard time getting my friend to give it back. Anyways thanks.

I think Visual BASIC is still available, at least for writing macros in Office...

You might want to stretch out a little and learn something like Python or Java or something.

Okay, maybe not Java.
