PC to dvd recorder problem!

I have been running my pc to my flatscreen tv via vga cable. I bought a dvd recorder and I wanted to run my pc through that so I could record things off the internet, the recorder only has svideo and rca hookups. My pc only has vga out. So I buy a vga to rca/svideo converter. When I hooked it up (it should have worked) nothing on the screen ! Can anyone help me!!?

Without Brand model details/picture on this convertor not much advise can be given to you other than read your instructions carefully.

I have attached pics of the converter. The recorder is a Magnavox #ZC320MW8B/F7 sadly there isnt much at all in the manual.

This is what you need....VGA to Video.
You can get them off ebay.... I have used these with no problems
