Laptop Issue

Hi everybody,
I own one of the NSW DET laptops they handed out this year and for the internet connections they have a username and password field to logon. This is the one for the internet and not just the plain logon to the computer. At school when my friends want to use mine they can use their internet account but at home I pressed remember my credentials and now it automatically connects to the NSW DET internet proxy using the logon I provided. I know I shouldn't have pressed remember . Too late. Any help would be great. Thanks.

How bout asking their tech support? I'm not sure what a NSW DET laptop is...

You can try clicking Tools>Delete Browsing History and put a check in the "password" box.

The NSW DET laptops are laptops handed out by the department of education and traing. NSW stands for new south wales, in australia.

It hasn't worked I am getting a new laptopo next week anyway so it doesnt matter anymore, thanks anyway.

My wife works as a teacher here in WA and had the same problem. Using the home wifi she couldn't connect to the internet to go on facebook and so on. The settings are in internet explorer and needs to be set to not use proxy when connecting.
