Hey, I want to upgrade my Graphics card (GT220) to a new one(maybe GTX550 overclocked or GTX560, say in coments which one).

The question is, What should I check in my rig to see if the card will fit in?

and the second question is: is buying an overclocked graphics card a good idea?

Thanks:)

Really you just need to check if you have the physical space in your case, and if your PSU can handle it. I'd recommend around a 600 watt PSU if you don't have much else going on with your computer. Really, it would be best if you could give us all of your specs.

Buying an overclocked card is never a good idea in my opinion. You're paying for them just to adjust a software setting with the card. You can very easily buy a stock card, and apply the little bit of overclocking that they will give you yourself, and have the same exact product. However, this is just my opinion. I'm sure there are other opinions and reasonings out there.
