Need help with xp Disc

I ran Norton to get rid of a virus and it said to re install my XP disc. The only way I can get it to run is by putting it in the drive and restarting hitting F8. when it is done installing you must press F8 to "accept" the 8 pages of terms, but when pressing F8 nothing happens. The other option is to press "enter" to abort the setup which does work. Any ideas how to run this disc ?

The problem is your keyboard isn't being recognized.

So what do i do, it recognizes it when I hit "enter " to get out of the set-up

What type of Keyboard is it? We got a batch of Lenovo Slim Keyboard here that are designed to have keys with different functions than the Function keys they occupy. You actually have to press an "Fn" + "F#" combination to get the regular "F#" key to work.

iPwn is right. A few keyboards and laptops are doing this now.

Look for Fn on your keyboard and hit F8, like he mentioned.

If this doesn't work or you don't have that type of keyboard, then try another one; it could be that the key is shot, and perhaps a few more. Have you had any liquid spills before on the keyboard?
