Hi there, first of all I'm new to here. :]
I am planning building a 1000~1200 dollar computer..
I'm planning on primarily using it to game, record, upload, and all that stuff..
Just wanted to see if this set up is good for what I'm looking for..

MTHRBRD: ASRock P67 PRO3 SE LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard (94.99)

CPU: Intel i5 2500k Quad-core 3.3GHz(3.7GHz turbo boost) (224.99)

CPU COOLING: Artic Cooling ACALP11-PRO-R2 92mm (16.99)

GPU: MSI N560GTX Ti(fermi) Twin Frozr II 2GBDDR5 256bit (269.99)

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series 8GB (2x4GB) 240-pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 (PC3 12800) [I was thinking about going for 16GB, but do i really 16 GB?] (46.99)

PSU: Apevia 500W ATX Power Supply [Not sure if I should go for a lower psu or a higher one]. (39.99)

HDD: Samsung 500 GB 7200RPM (84.99)

ROM: LITE-ON SATA DVD-ROM (18.99)

TOWER: Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (59.99)

KYBRD: Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard [Just looked pretty awesome lol..with the red lightings and all those buttons]. (47.99)

MNTR: Gateway 21.5" Full HD LED Blacklit LCD Monitor Slim Design (139.99)

So roughly, it's around the $1000 ~ $1200 mark..

Drop a comment or something below..I would appreciate it. Thanks!

the processor the i5 2500k is good but if your not planing on over clocking go for the intel i5 2500 without the k on the end witch will be abit cheaper

on my new build i will be putting 8gb ram in (2x4gb) but due to me having so meany programs open at once i may upgrade it if i need 2 but not going to bother till im using close 2 8gb and need more

the power supply i would put a better one in and also use calculator to work out the watts needed and use a power supply just over this

Yeah go for a much better power supply, i just learned that the hard way. Corsair make good ones, and i'd recommend getting a 650w for your setup which is $90. I just got done building a setup pretty similar to yours, and spent $1200 including a gateway 23" LED monitor. Motherboard has built in wifi and blutooth and all the newest SATA III ports with USB 3.0. With this setup so far I can easily max out mafia 2 and it hardly touches the limits of my GPU or CPU. Also try and order lots of stuff on amazon, their prices are better. I saved $150 using amazon instead of newegg. Hope any of this info helps you in your build, as I just went through this and wanted the biggest bang for my buck.
