Have to use system reset button to get computer to boot

Before doing that, reseat the RAM and try another PSU. I've dealt with one PC that had a hard start trouble, and the PSU was shot...to this day, I'm still wondering how it worked. This could also indicate why the mouse need unplugging and replugging; the voltage might not reach the desired output due to a PSU.

Try that first because if the board is shot, you'll most likely need a new PSU for a new one anyways.

Thats not entirely true. His computer does boot and runs, when he gets it to go on by pressing the reset button. And now his usb is on the Fritz. It does sound like bad board, but he shouldt require a new psu regarding its a 24pin board and 24 pin psu

Thing is, if the PSU doesn't bring the required votltage to the board, it won't POST, but sometimes after a while the voltage finaly gets to an acceptable level for it to POST.

It does boot, but not before having him press reset.

That's how I understood on how he gets his machine to boot.
