USB inboard wireless adapter

I'm new to all of this computer stuff. Can someone tell me which is best,
USB wireless ethernet adapter or USB inboard wireless adapter that plugs into motherboard??

Honestly, I've not seen much difference between the two in terms of connectivity. It depends on how good your router is (range-wise) and what adapters that you're comparing. I've got both and stopped using the PCI adapter for a better USB adapter. I've had absolutely no problems using it, even though my router is three rooms away.
