I have been using Norton but I really dont like them. I try to download a few programs to play with, but Symantec wont let me download them even though I KNOW they are fine. I cant seem to find a place to add them to the "Allow" list. What are some other good programs?

AVG Antivirus (free edition), Avast, Microsoft Security Essentials

You can only have 1 antivirus installed at a time.

AVG is pretty good and free...
I would also suggest running malwarebytes and ccleaner on a regular basis as a precaution.

I actually find that Microsoft Security Essentials is great for Windows 7 users. I was a long-time user with Norton... however now I find its just frustrating to have another anti virus telling you to do a scan here and there every 2 minutes.

If you dont want spam, and a clean anti-virus software that does basic functions (simple scan, and can get rid of most viruses that come across) I would recommend Security Essentials, (Its free too!)
