Hi
I recently bought the Seagate Momentus XT 750gb hybrid drive and I want to switch it with my current hard drive in my laptop. Is there a way to duplicate the hard drive so they are exactly the same.
I heard that you can't clone or use a duplicator because the hybrid and the hdd are different.
What software would i have to use to do this?

Thanks!

You should check Seagate's website for their SeaTools software. It may let you transfer the contents of your current drive to the new one.

There are several programs you can use.

HDClone will clone a drive, bit-for-bit from one drive to another. There is a free version, but it is limited. I opted to pay the $29 or whatever for the mid-level version, which allowed me to clone a laptop drives to newer (larger) ones a lot faster than it would take using the free version.

Clonezilla is a free program that should do the same, though I have no personal experience using it.
