I just bought a new pc ( acer aspire m3450 ) witch specs are:

CPU: Amd athlon x4 645
GPU: Nvidia Geforce gt530
RAM: 6gb
HDD: 7200rpm

So the nvidia gt530 is a low-profile card and wont run games like crysis at max. Now im wondering if a nvidia geforce gtx 550 ti will run games maxed out maybe even bf3?

Cool! i also hope i be able to use full resolution cuz playiong on a full hd tv monitor :D But i ordered a gtx 550 ti for 90$ so i think its a fair deal :D Thanks for reply!

The card came in 2days and now playing crysis on max settings whit 20fps expected bit higher but on high setting i get 50fps and thats good for me thanks!

You did buy a new low profile card, right? Full height cards don't fit low profile slots.

? Im not a computer genious but got advice from a frend witch told me any gpu fits in pci-e slot right?

any pci-e card will fit in any pci-e slot, but not all cards will fit in the case.

Flashing a BIOS on a video card isn't necessary unless you're trying to mod the card for overclocking or some other purposes.

As for the Full Height vs Low Profile, the low profile card will be shrunk down on the backplane (the metal part with the actual monitor connector) whereas a full size card will be longer and usually has multiple connectors instead of just one on the low profile card.

Okay cool but i keep getting temperatures up to 75 while playing any 3d game o.0? i did a hole in the bottom whit a pipe so the air from the gpu would flow directly out from the pc helped abit was 80c before but still need more cooling any opinions got some silver thermal should i try add it?
