Feedback For New Build (And Builder)

I've never actually built a custom pc before. This will be the first and I would like any (constructive) feedback that anyone has to offer me. Honestly, I am doing this just because I want to do it. My current computer works great, I just really wanted to build one. Here's what I'm looking at:

I also have a blu-ray burner, two hdds (640GB and 1TB) ,and one ssd (60GB for the OS and a few applications). If anyone with computer building knowledge could review this and inform me of any anomalies or suggestions that would be awesome. Again, never built a computer before, but I have been inside of them for basic graphics card and hard drive upgrades. Thanks!

OK first your case is really expensive so go with an antec 300, or a $50 mid tower case. Second save money and go with a cooler master hyper 212+... with this extra money you can sli a 560 =)... if u do not take my advice... make sure ur cooler will fit in the thermaltake (I have heard there isn't a lot of room) . Keep in mind atiyou could also crossfire 2 6870s and get better performance than 1 560...

I know that the case is pretty expensive, but it's also a huge case with plenty of room inside which I wanted, and it's supposed to be great for keeping the internals cool with the built in fans and such. Is there any other reason that you say no to the case besides the price?

Other than that, I'll have to look into the cooler master hyper 212+, and I don't know what that last sentence means at all, lol. Thanks for the feedback though! I just need a bit more clarity since I've never really done all of this before.

For a little bit more money you could get 2 ati 6870's and put them in crossfire. Just like sli... Ok about the case... Most/all cases keep the internals cool ... I really suggest finding a cheaper case... Maybe the coolermaster haf series? But yea i thought my mid tower case had plenty of room and it keeps things cool... 4.0 ghz oc stable at ~1.175v at a max temp of ~48c... I rarely get above 40c while gaming, and my 6950 gets up to about 47c in a mid tower case... If you really want it, go for it, i would try to find a cheaper case

A case is as much about how it looks as much as it is for performance. If you love it, get it. I agree there are cheaper options. Ask yourself 4 questions before buying a case.
1. Does it fit everything i want (form factor (atx, e-atx), long video cards are sometimes a problem, not in your case, CPU coolers, cable management)?

2. Does it cool efficiently?

3. Does it look nice?

4. Is it worth the price?

IMHO, I can't justify spending that kind of money on a case. You can get a Cooler Master HAF for half the price. Personally I would go with the HAF or look into the Antec X-Hundred series. I've worked with the HAF before and I liked it a lot and I have an Antec 600 which is really nice. Other than that, the rest of the rig seems solid. I'm not sure if that board supports hybrid SLI. I'd be surprised if it didn't though.

I would highly recommend the Antec 300 case. It is a full-size mid tower case, featuring 2 built in fans with room to add 3 more. With a low price of only 44$, it is the perfect match for any gamer. Also, your processor is perfect, but do not use a stock cooler. I would recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212 cpu cooler for your build, giving flexibility for overclocking. The ram seems good. The motherboard is intel, which I have in my build, and I would highly un-recommend them. They have no overclocking capability, and for the few that support sli, run them slow. Plus they are way overpriced. Go for a EVGA or GIGABYTE motherboard, made for gaming. For what your doing, the power supply would work, but I would recommend an 850+ watt psu that is 85+ certified for flexibility with future upgrades (big upgrades such as like going from a gtx560 to a gtx 980 in 3 years lol). The 560 is a good gpu, but I would recommend sli-ing 2 PNY GTX 550 TI graphics cards, which perform like a GTX 580, for cheaper than a 560. Those parts I suggested not only save you money, but give you a more solid gaming experience.

I appreciate all of the feedback, but I'm not really sure what to do with SLI graphics cards. I know that means that both graphics cards are working together, but is there something that I'd need to do for that? Or would the above graphics card work just fine?
