ok so i have this board.
Gigabyte MA790GP-UD4H
When i go to oC my phenom II 940 quad past 3GHZ
i cant find out how?
my cpu is a black edition and it oC on my asus m4a78 pro
but i think the option is grayed out in bios, what gives?

ill post pics later once im home.

anyone with any ideas?
i feel as if my CF 5870s are bottlenecked a tad.

besides i have a nactua and i cant oC. sucks lol

I want to do it manually through the bios
and it is locked at 15 x200 when I know it shouldnt be
both my cpu and motherboard should be unlocked

First thing first, have you consulted the manual? One of my old boards had an option buried in one of the menus that had to be selected just to enable overclocking. And it wasn't labeled anything obvious like "overclocking" or "clock control."

Does the motherboard correctly detect you CPU, including the Black Edition label? Are you on the most recent BIOS? Are you able to change clock settings for things besides the CPU multi?

thats what i got, but i cant move up and down to select anything else.
I did look in the manual, but i did not see anything. I shall look again.

And im pretty sure it detects my CPU right? CPUZ senses it correctly.

ALSO... apparently i cant upload any pics to Image Shack or Photobucket? That pic was from my cell

Make sure you do it from DOS, not Windows. If it screws up, the chip is often soldered to the board, so the only way to fix it after that is with a PIC programmer.
