My build:
Antec Three Hundred gaming case
Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3 LGA1155
Intel Core i5-2500K LGA1155
G.skill Ripjaws X Series 16gb (4 X 4gb) 240-pin Ddr3
EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti FPB Graphics Card
Corsair Builder Series 600 Watt
Intel 320 Series 80 GB SATA 3.0
Caviar Blue 250GB 7,200 RPM
Viewsonic VX2250WM-LED 22-inch widescreen

Western Digital SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI Express (PCIe) Card
Hauppauge Colossus PCI Express Internal HD-PVR

Any flaws in this? This is my first build and i want to do it right. I won't buy the parts until i get a good enough input from people who know more than I. This is a build i can live with at first, i will be including more hardware like blu-ray burners, and larger hard drives, but for now this is it. Are there better one's than Hauppauge? Does having an SSD make a big difference, or can i just us the other HD? I think the RAM is overkill. What do you think? DDR3 is not that expensive and later on i might need more (?).

I will use this system to play games, edit video from my 1080p camera and record HD movies as well as play them...this is a general all purpose media center with (i hope) great gaming potential. Any ideas appreciated, thanks.

Looks good, but go for the pny gtx 550 ti not evga, pny is better and cheaper.

Lets see here...
Suppose iv had a few upgrades since i last posted.

Gigabyte MA790GP-UD4H(traded mobos with cuz, IDK how to OC on this one lol)
Phenom II X4 940 Quad, 3Ghz : /
OCZ Gold 1066 DDR2 4GB
Noctua NH-D14 HSF
Antec 1000W CP-1000 PSU
Crucial M4 SSD 64GB
LITEON DVD/RW drive. (Did have a LITEON Bluray drive, but.... useless)

(Crossfired)
Gigabyte 5870 1GB OC 900/1230 =/= Soon to be cooled by a Zalman VF3000A
HIS 5870 1GB OC 900/1230 =/= Cooled by a Zalman VF3000A. 53c Max Load Temp

Antec 1200 Case with two blue CFLs in the top with a switch on the front bezel.
Rear 2 Antec fans replaced with Coolor Master Excalibur fans.
Front bottom fan replaced by a higher end Antec fan with a 2nd Coolor Master fan in a
Pull - Pull configuration to bring more cool air to GPUs.

Side fan is a Aerocool 3000 turbine 80+CFMs to remove heat from GPUs.

And a Scythe Kaze Q12 Fan controller holding all the fans at bay.

Id really like a newer CPU/Mobo/RAM but i got more important things to save for at the moment. lol

Pics later.

I have more rigs than I can count, given that I am a PC Service Technician. However, here is the one that I use for basic gaming and daily internet:

Dell XPS 420
Windows Vista 64bit SP2
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 Ghz
4GB ram
Ati Radeon HD 3870 512MB
Western Digital 600GB Hard Drive 7200 RPM

It's about 3 years old and it's time to upgrade for gaming purposes. However I am too busy to do any real gaming. It runs Skyrim better than you'd think.
