Dell inspiron e1505 log in problem/ forgot my password

Hi? please don't laugh at my problem. i need help. i tried to block my friend from using my laptop, dell inspiron e1505 by changing the password. now i can't remember the password and i can't access the computer. i am the administrative user. i have all my school in the computer.
what am i suppose to do to reset the password or remove the password.
i don't know where i have stashed the laptop restore cds. i have looked but can't locate them. help pls

is it windows xp? if so boot in safe f8 and then you change remove it..

if it's vista/7 i use a password remover cd myself, boot from cd when you've made it:

i tried to boot in safe f8 mood but it doesn't respond instead when i push the buttom it make a sound

Don't worry about that "beep" sound. Just keep hitting F8 repeatedly as soon as you boot the computer until you get the black boot-screen that lets you choose safe mode. No worries.
