how to keep starting up.

Hi all,
I had a big problem with staring up in windows xp professional sp3.
at first, I go to "start menu -> run" then go to msconfig.
After adjusting in "startup selection" in "general" menu is Selective startup with marked all such as process SYSTEM.INI fie, process WIN.INI, Load system services, load startup items. after that press apply button and OK then restart computer.
But around 5 hours after I go back "system configuration utility" interface. It become normal startup.
Actually, If my computer keep "normal startup" function. So other computers can not print over my computer.
Therefore, I want keep my computer allware marked "Selective startup"
Please help me.

If you need to use your computer as a printer server, just let other computers to look up your PC IP address like run: \\123.123.123.01 or whatever IP your computer is and let those PC to download the printer driver from your PC.

I think that, It seem to be the problem with some services of windows could not start up.
And sometime I could not use run with the command "\\123.123.123.01 " as your advice.

please help me.

Do a system restore and make sure you do it in safemode

I got it, But my computer only keep "startup selection" about some hour.
It means It automatic change to "normal startup" function
