Hi, i'm new to computing and I find it interesting, but as i'm new, I dont have a clue about it. So, what I want to know is how to tell if something is compatible with a motherboard so I know what to upgrade to etc.

Thanks:)

Sorry, this is such a broad question, should have posted elsewhere

best way to know for sure is to search for the motherboard you have or want through the manufacturers main site (Asus, GIGABYTE, Asrock) and then you should be able to find the compatible RAM and Processor list as a PDF.

The only problem I have now is that I cant find my motherboard on the manufacturers website, so I cant find out anything about it :/

for f***s sake, its no on there either, its probably quite old then by the looks of things :(

possibly, have you tried the system auto scanner on that site. It should find what you need for the board you have.

umm.. try having a look inside the computer, it will say next to the cpu what motherbored it is..

and what are you upgrading
