Hey guys! I'm new here, also registered in Video Forums.

I have a question:

I have my video card connected to my PC screen (LG FLATRON W2042T) from the PC via the VGA cabel of course, ok? And I also want to connect my Decoder (I think its called a PVR HD decoder if I'm not wrong. it has 500GB of mem to record on) to my PC screen via the second in, the DVI.
Well, the question is if I can use them both connected and switch between them without shutting down my PC or something like that?
I wanted to connect the decoder via the HDMI to DVI cabel as those two are "close brothers" I think it should work. ( The decoder has HDMNI out.)

Can I do that?

Play in the menu on your monitor. Most monitors now days allow you to manually switch between the sources. DVI and VGA (or HDMI if it has it)

I've set this up for some clients (showed them how to do it...) when they have two PCs and want dual monitors on both.. but only have two monitors. They didn't want to buy a KVM switch..

Hope this helps
