The war in Afghanistan and global monetaryturmoil will dominate Prime Minister Julia Gillard's talks with US President Barack Obama when he visits Australia in November - unless he cancels a 3rd time.After Mr Obama pulled out of 2 previously planned visits - once to supervise his fitnessrebureaucracyand once to take care of the Gulf of Mexico oil stablet- Ms Gillard and her government shall be hoping for a case of third time's a charm.Mr Obama is planning to go to on November 16 and 17, in between hosting the APEC Summit in Hawaii and attending the East Asia Summit in Bali.The White spacehas not yet released informationof Mr Obama's itinerary and the federal government has not confirmed whether it is going to recall parliament to permit the president so as to adclothea joint sitting.Former president George W Bush addressed parliament when he visited in 2003 and Ms Gillard addressed a joint meeting of the U.S. Congress when she visited Washington in March this year.Ms Gillard mentioned that Mr Obama's planned visit coincided with the 60th anniversary of the Australia-US alliance and a decade because the 9-11 terrorist attacks."it wouldn't come at a greater time," Ms Gillard told parliament on Tuesday."I welcome that, the federal government welcomes nd i think the Australian people do welcome that."Opposition Leader Tony Abbott added the coalition's voice to that sentiment: "he's the leader of the free world. He must almethodsbe welcome on this country."Greens leader Bob Brown signalled he wouldn't be staging a repeat of his actions in 2003, when he famously heckled Mr Bush and drew international media attention."President Obama is sureto get a warm welcome Down Under," Senator Brown said.Ms Gillard forged a warm relationship with Mr Obama during her Washington trip they typicallywere pictured tossing an Australian football within the Oval Office and sparring over the merits of Vegemite during a calm school visit.Liberal frontbencher Eric Abetz conceded the visit would give Ms Gillard's poll numbers a bump."i feel it is almethodsan even-news story when the most vitalfigure this type ofs the president of the U.S. visits," Senator Abetz said.the U.S. ambassador to Australia, Jeffrey Bleich, said Mr Obama was unmore likely to bring his family.there was a fewspeculation that Mr Obama couldattfinishthe President's Cup golf tournament at Royal Melbourne between the U.S. and a globalteam.The White spacesaid Mr Obama glanceed forward to expanding bilateral cooperation on trade, expansionand jobs.Mr Obama said last year he had "gloriousmemories" of his childhood visits to Australia.Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd's doctors have given him the all-transparentto wait this week's annual AUSMIN summit in San Francisco after six weeks off following heart surgery.Mr Rudd will join Defence Minister Stephen Smith for the debates with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Defence Leon Panetta.
