Western Digital Scorpio Black (WD5000BEKT) hard drive

Hi all, again. I have an opportunity to get a Western Digital Scorpio hard drive out of a notebook computer. I want to put it in my tower case. Any problems, reasons I should not?

It should work fine as long as you've got the right connections for it, and a mounting bracket adapter should it be the 2.5" formfactor. Though, in all honesty, I have a computer at home which is using a laptop drive as its primary drive and I just have it fastened using one screw since it's so light and it's been fine.

Thanks og...been there, done that with normal drives but thinking about it, laptops take a lot more shock events than tower computers. Makes sense that they would be capable of doing the job.
