Weird signal problem...

Whenever I open or close anything to do with the NVIDIA Control panel the screen flicks onto 'No Signal' for a split second then back to normality. IT also happens a few times (signal then none then signal again) on loading the desktop after booting. It's happened once or twice during installs of applications.

Uninstall drivers and install the latest ones? You could also try prior versions of drivers if you just upgraded them. nVidia drivers have done this to me too, and by uninstalling / reinstalling or going back a driver rev has helped me out.

I got the drivers straight from Nvidia about 3 hours ago Did the rest with DriverMax and they showed up as up-to-date there too. Once these length game installs are done ill give re-installing them a whirl.

I just went Safe Mode -> removed all the NVIDIA display drivers, re-booted into Windows and reinstalled them, same problem lol. I guess i'll leave it until it gets annoying.

It doesn't happen in Ubuntu, I can go into the XSERV settings and play around to my heart's content without any signal loss; It's something to do with those specific drivers it would seem.

If you didn't delete the folder on the C Drive (C:\Nvidia or C:\Program Files\Nvidia) then yes, windows will reinstall them. It's helpful to run a Driver Cleaner program as well.

Chances are that the problem IS the driver as you pointed out, so try going back to an older revision of driver and see if the problem goes away.
